If your monthly bill comes through BT and you wish to rent or buy films or TV shows outside of your Prime Video membership, you'll need to have a credit or debit card registered with Amazon. All purchases and rentals will appear on your Amazon account and not on your BT bill.
To change to Amazon Prime or Prime Student, you'll need to do this via www. This will automatically switch your service over to Amazon and your monthly payment will no longer be on your BT bill. This could take up to 30 days. If you switch membership part way through a month you've already paid for, we'll refund you for any days that you haven't used. You won't have to pay a cancellation fee.
However, we won't refund you for any days you've already paid for. Instead you'll have access to the service until the date that the membership would have auto-renewed - you can find this on your bill.
If you've already paid for that month's access to Prime Video, we'll add a refund for the days missed to your BT bill. You'll still be able to access it on any Prime Video compatible device.

If the message is still showing once you've inserted the card, there might be an issue with the set top box. Try rebooting your set top box and retesting.
