Save as not responding windows 7

Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. When trying to save either pictires, video, PDF foles, or really anything to my computor from the internet, I keep getting "save as not responding" errors.

After closing Windows explorer and trying again, it usually works. I recently upgraded to Win7 from Vista, and did not have these errors in the past. We need a bit more information: What exactly happens when you try to use "Save As"?

This is Acrobat DC. Acrobat XI worked fine. There is an X in the upper right hand corner which allows me to close the box. I don't know whether to do an uninstall-reinstall or whether there is a simpler fix. I can then drag the file from the email attachment window to an Explorer window which effectively saves the file. I have the same darn problem From then on you cannot "save as" even after a reboot. C Addins are for document management program and immigration program. However many other users have this same exact platform and setup and no one else is experiencing the problem.

The new computer was working fine until today; the problem came back. Checked event viewer and of course nothing worthwhile there application hang, eventid , program mspaint. Not sure what else to try other than creating a new profile?

That's really the only common denominator left to this equation. Well it is fixed "for now". I restored the workstation to last monday when I finished the fresh rebuild. Everything is working perfectly "right now". The user has been out sick for the past two days, so when they return I will monitor and see "what" is causing this weird issue.

Are you using roaming profiles? If not, and you've already replaced the machine then I am not sure how it could be. Sounds strange and like you have covered everything. Hardware was going to be my guess until I read the part about swapping machines. Does this user have a bunch of network drives? Have you tried, upon a fresh reboot, disconnecting all the network drives and then trying again?

If her default save location as it is here is set to a network share that she may no longer have access to it could hang applications When you say you built a new pc did you mean all new hardware or just a new build on the same hardware?

It will be better if you remember which drive the Word documents are saved to. If not, choose all hard disk drives. Just check all the Word document file found. You are always allowed to preview the files. If Microsoft Word doesn't respond on Mac, you may force quit the application and fix the problem with the following methods.

Step 3 Open the folder, there are the autorecovery files of Microsoft application. You can copy or move the files to somewhere else to save them. Then delete all the files in the folder. Step 2 Open the Preferences folder and select the Word preference file, which is named as com. Move the file to somewhere else like the desktop. The worst case is that Word is not responding so that the document can't be saved, you can try to retrieve unsaved Word document with FonePaw Data Recovery for Mac.

FonePaw Data Recovery for Mac can scan out all the existing and deleted Word document on your Mac and save Word documents as soon as possible. All the above are the ways to fix and save document files when Microsoft Word is not responding on Mac or Windows. Carrie Murray.
